U.S. Department of Education Contractor
ACT won the opportunity to service the US Department of Education portfolio in 2000. ACT is registered as an approved federal contractor under the General Services Administration schedule of eligible federal contractors.

ACT consents to rigorous financial audits performed by independent auditors in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) which attest to our financial stability. As a Federal contractor, ACT is required to be FISMA compliant thereby creating an added benefit to all of our clients. FISMA certification assures our clients ACT is protected to the highest extremes for data, network, and informational systems protection against intrusion and minimizes potential threats and vulnerabilities.
SAS 70 Type II Certified
ACT is SAS 70 Type II certified to reassure clients we have rigorous controls in place to maintain the highest level of information security. SAS 70 Type II is one of the most prestigious third-party audit certifications for service companies.

Our exclusive partnership with Lexis-Nexis gives ACT unprecedented access to debtor information. Through waterfall-style batch processing, more relevant location and asset information is returned up-front which allows our collectors to locate account holders and put financial information to use for securing payment more quickly.
