U.S. Department of Education Contractor
ACT won the opportunity to service the US Department of Education portfolio in 2000.   ACT is registered as an approved federal contractor under the General Services Administration schedule of eligible federal contractors.

ACT consents to rigorous financial audits performed by independent auditors in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) which attest to our financial stability.  ACT gladly provides clients with copies of our audited financial statements and Dunn and Bradstreet reports to demonstrate our financial strength.

ACT offers clients and borrowers advanced self-serve functionality through our secure website.  Several advantages available to clients include paperless and ad-hoc management reports, immediate access to account balances and histories, and communication via instant messaging with our Client Services department. Borrowers benefit from online payment options, debt calculators, and other helpful debt resolution tools.

In addition to new client orientation, during which your staff is provided training on our website, reporting, and collection strategies, ACT offers free informative webinars, seminars and workshops on a range of topics from skip tracing to employee motivation.

ACT has the policies, procedures, and equipment in place to ensure the security of client and borrower information.  We believe it is critical to invest in necessary infrastructure to protect sensitive data.

FISMA Compliant
A significant ACT Advantage is ACT 's compliancy to the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), a federal security requirement of the utmost protection of cyber security. As a Federal contractor, ACT is required to be FISMA compliant thereby creating an added benefit to all of our clients. FISMA certification assures our clients ACT is protected to the highest extremes for data, network, and informational systems protection against intrusion and minimizes potential threats and vulnerabilities.

SAS 70 Type II Certified
ACT is SAS 70 Type II certified to reassure clients we have rigorous controls in place to maintain the highest level of information security.   SAS 70 Type II is one of the most prestigious third-party audit certifications for service companies.

ACT has developed our own proprietary collection management software, Vision™, so our in-house programmers can make unrestricted upgrades to evolve with each customer’s specific needs. 

LexisNexis
Our exclusive partnership with Lexis-Nexis gives ACT unprecedented access to debtor information.  Through waterfall-style batch processing, more relevant location and asset information is returned up-front which allows our collectors to locate account holders and put financial information to use for securing payment more quickly.
